Who are we?
by Dick Robertson on Saturday 25 March 2006 As some of you will know, the Shaver Beefblend team recently advertised a Herd Dispersal. Having used Shaver Beef Bulls on our 500ha farm near Piopio, consistently for about the last 7 years, Katherine and I decided that this would be the ideal opportunity to further develop our commitment to the Shaver Breed. We accepted the challenge, and so a month before calving, 130 cows & heifers along with 40 yearling heifers & bulls became Shaver Genetics here at Paekaka. We are looking foward to continuing the legacy of Donald Shaver with the same pioneering enthusiasm of the Shaver Beef team. Entering its 3rd year at Paekaka is our very own TraceaBull programme which you can read about in a future article.
